The Start-Rite Curriculum helps preschool teachers and caregivers develop an educational program that makes the learning experience exciting and relevant for each child.
Our curriculum has been developed in accordance with N.J. Department of Education Early Learning Standards, as well as the Creative Curriculum®, which is a widely used, and state approved. It incorporates the latest research and best practices, while taking the needs of every type of learner into account. The continuity of this approach from infancy to kindergarten, provides a flawless transition from one stage of development to the next.
The Creative Curriculum® provides each child with a well-rounded program to help him/her achieve success. It fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, through art activities, games, music, story-telling, number, reading readiness, dramatic play, science, social studies and the culinary arts.
We strive to develop small muscle coordination through the use of our many manipulative materials. Our spacious play area is used year round to develop gross motor skills, and to just have fun. Through dealing with a peer group, children learn to give and take, to accept responsibilities, and do their share. Children will learn the gratification of doing things for themselves, as well as for others.
